Workspaces

A workspace groups projects under a common administration and licensing context. Use the workspace selector in the top bar to choose the workspace you want to work in.

Personal and team workspaces

Workspace Typical use Collaboration
Personal Your individual schedule work Team membership management and the Progress Update module are unavailable
Team Projects managed with colleagues and external contributors Project teams, workspace administration, and Premium project update cycles

Paid access enables schedule creation and editing in a personal workspace. It does not turn that workspace into a team workspace or enable team-only workflows.

What belongs to a workspace?

  • Projects: each job and its schedules.
  • Members and guests: people associated with the workspace, with access determined by their roles.
  • Licensing: member licenses and the available Premium project allocation.
  • Shared defaults: settings such as the workspace’s default calendar and color palette.

See Core concepts for the full hierarchy.

Find a project

Select the workspace, then open Projects. Use the available search, filters, and program organization to locate the job. You will see the projects available to your account.

For team workspaces, Updates provides a view of progress update cycles across accessible projects. A project’s Progress page is where you work on its individual update cycle.

Manage people

Workspace Owners and Admins can open Members from the user menu. Use this area to manage people and their project assignments.

A workspace role and a project role answer different questions. Workspace roles govern workspace administration; project roles govern actions within a particular project. Check both when someone can enter the workspace but cannot perform an action in a project. See Roles and access.

Manage billing and Premium capacity

The Workspace Owner manages billing. Workspace Owners and Admins can manage members and allocate available Premium project slots. Assigning Premium uses capacity already available to the workspace; increasing that capacity is a separate licensing action.

Use Premium projects to understand the distinction between member licenses and project allocations.

If something is missing

First check the selected workspace and your signed-in account. Then check your role and whether the feature requires a team workspace. An inactive workspace or one requiring payment can also restrict access; its Owner should review the workspace’s billing status.
