Projects
A project holds the schedules and team for one construction job. Use one project to organize the job’s baseline, current plan, and successive schedule updates.
Create a project
You need Workspace Owner or Admin access and available project capacity.
- Select the workspace and open Projects.
- Open New Project.
- Enter the required Project Name and Project ID.
- Complete the relevant attributes, client, location, and team details.
- Review the information and choose Create Project.
The creator receives Project Admin access. Project ID is the human-readable code for the job; use a naming convention your team can recognize.
Navigate the project
| Page | Use it to |
|---|---|
| Files | Import schedules and manage the project’s schedule files and organization |
| Dashboard | Review the project’s schedule summaries |
| Schedule | Work with the project’s schedule in the Gantt interface |
| Progress | Collect, review, and publish progress updates for a Premium project |
| Team | Review and manage project access according to your permissions |
The available pages and actions depend on your role, the workspace type, and Premium status.
Keep schedules organized
Import or create schedules inside the project. Give them names that distinguish the baseline, reporting period, and working revisions. Choose which schedule is current and which schedules serve as baselines.
Use programs on the workspace’s Projects page to group related jobs. Programs organize projects; schedules still belong to their individual projects.
Set up the project team
Use Viewer access for people who need to inspect the schedule, Editor access for contributors, and Admin access for people managing the project and its update cycles. A person’s access can differ between projects.
Project Editors can invite people up to their own project role, while Project Admins can manage project membership. Licensing can affect whether an invitation or role change is available. See Roles and access.
Enable progress collection
In a team workspace, a Workspace Owner or Admin can choose Upgrade to Premium from the project’s actions when an allocation is available. Premium status belongs to the project, so you do not enable it separately for every schedule.
Continue with Premium projects and Progress updates.
